Career Goals: I hope to become a policy maker and help to provide the world with a sustainable environment for future generations to come.

Crystal was in the Capstone program in Nanjing, China, from fall 2013 to spring 2014. At Nanjing University, she took two direct enrollment courses alongside native Chinese students at the school of Environmental Science. One course was Energy and the Environment, which helped her gain expertise in the field of China's energy dynamics and policy. She also took a course in the department's graduate school in Environmental Economics, where she learned about microeconomic theory pertaining to environmental issues.
In the spring, she interned at the Carbon Trust, a global environmental consulting firm. She worked as a research assistant where she helped NGOs and local governments become more sustainable through energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
